Making the call
You give us the ZIP code, what kind of assembly is involved and what you need — a test, a repair, an installation. We check it against the areas our partner contractors cover and connect you with one who covers yours. If nobody does, we say so on the call.
We do not take details to pass on later and we do not sell them.
Who pays, and the obvious problem
The contractors, when we route them a call. You are never charged anything, whether or not any work goes ahead.
Which gives us a reason to want you to call, so here is the counterweight: one page here tells you the most valuable protection on the subject is a distance you can check with a ruler, and another tells you the fix for the most common cross-connection in the country is to hang up the end of a hose. Neither of those generates a call and both are true.
The call we suggest making first
Your water purveyor. They hold the program, they hold the record of what is required at your address, they are usually the party the report goes to, and they are the ones who decided the classification. Whatever question you have, they are closer to the answer than we are.
Not a tester, not a purveyor
We are not a contractor, not a certified tester and not a water purveyor. We carry out no testing, we file no reports, we certify nobody, we do not set prices and we supervise nobody. Contractors and testers in our network are independent businesses required to hold whatever certification their state or municipality demands.
We do not vouch for any individual contractor and no page here says we do.
And nothing here is a hazard assessment
Whether a particular connection is high or low hazard, and what must protect it, is a determination made on the installation by the purveyor and the plumbing official against the local ordinance. No page on this site makes it, and a page that appeared to would be doing real harm.

Know what is on the tag before you call.Make, model, size and the date of the last test are usually stamped or tagged on the assembly itself, and they decide which test kit and which paperwork the visit needs. We will route you to somebody who covers your area, selected on the ZIP code of the property, and you are never charged. Backflow is our specialty, though the number will take any plumbing request on the property.
